Now Seeking New Works Festival Sound Designer

New Works Festival Sound Designer 

Moonbox Productions is seeking Sound Designers for the New Works Festival, performing June 20 – June 23, 2024 at the Boston Center for the Arts and Calderwood Pavilion. Sound Designers will support the needs of one to two NWF productions. There are musical and play productions as part of this festival. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Attend design meetings  
  • Attend production meetings
  • Design speaker plot with venue inventory 
  • Source additional sound equipment as needed
  • Design and source all sound effects
  • Coordinate with sound engineer
  • Assist with load-in and strike of sound equipment 

Festival Dates:

Rehearsal Period: Between May 13 – June 19

Load in and Tech: June 10 – 19 (varies on production)

New Works Festival performance dates: June 20-June 23

Strike: June 24-25

Fee: $900 gross (W2) – This is a base fee, more funds may be available based on scale and scope of production(s).
