Davron S. Monroe is a Boston based award winning singer and actor with vocal talents that run the gamut from Opera to Musical Theatre, gospel to jazz and everything else in between. Davron is the 2019 recipient of The Elliot Norton Award for Outstanding Musical performance in Breath and Imagination the story of Roland Hayes, African-American classic concert artist (who was also a Boston based artist in the later years of his life). Aside from being an amazing force and an undeniable presence on Boston theatre stages, Davron has a background in people and project management with emphasis in and an unwavering passion and drive for community involvement that centers around inclusion and belonging. Davron is joining forces with Moonbox to continue the important work of making the underserved voice feel welcomed as well as change the face of theatre by making it a place where community is adequately reflected on and off the stage. This work is coming from a place of wanting “YOU” to be here. Davron feels that It is paramount that we as a theatre company go above and beyond to create a space that is committed to anti-racists policies as well as equitable treatment for all our artists and audiences alike. “It is my mission to uphold these standards by embracing the vision and mission of Moonbox Productions and navigate ways of creating unity through our joint efforts.”
