More Than Words -
Empowering youth to take charge of their lives by taking charge of a business.

More Than Words (MTW) is a nonprofit social enterprise that empowers youth who are in the foster care system, court involved, homeless, or out of school to t
ake charge of their lives by taking charge of a business
.
The MTW model is premised on the belief that when at-risk youth are challenged with authentic and increasing responsibilities in a business setting, and have high expectations and a culture of support, they can and will address their personal barriers, create concrete action plans for their lives, and become thriving members of society
.

Mass Audubon

Mass Audubon works to protect the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife. Together with more than 100,000 members, we care for 34,000 acres of conservation land, provide educational programs for 225,000 children and adults annually, and advocate for sound environmental policies at local, state, and federal levels. Mass Audubon's mission and actions have expanded since our founding in 1896, and today we are the largest conservation organization in New England. Our statewide network of wildlife sanctuaries, in 90 Massachusetts communities, welcomes visitors of all ages and serves as the base for our work. To support these important efforts, call 800-AUDUBON (283-8266) or visit www.massaudubon.org.

StreetSafe Boston

StreetSafe Boston is a violence prevention and intervention program aimed at reducing the incidence of gang-involved shootings and youth homicides in five Boston neighborhoods where the majority of shootings and homicides occur:  South End/Lower Roxbury; Dudley Square and Grove Hall in Roxbury; and the Bowdoin Street/Geneva Avenue and Morton/Norfolk Street areas in Dorchester. Through street level violence interruption and conflict mediation by highly trained Streetworkers and through the provision of neighborhood-based services, StreetSafe Boston is focused on building relationships with proven risk individuals (known violent offenders) in order to guide them away from violence and toward positive alternatives.
